St Patrick's Day Steam Sale Brings Irish Games to a Global Audience

Imirt - The Irish Game Makers Association is proud to present the Games from Ireland Steam Event, a week-long digital showcase celebrating games made in Ireland or shaped by Irish creative talent and culture. The event will run on Steam during St Patrick’s Day 2026, 13th March - 19th March, spotlighting the breadth and success of Ireland’s growing games industry for a global audience.

The Games from Ireland Steam Event will feature over 150 games, spanning all genres, from AAA success stories to award-winning independent games. The event will also spotlight upcoming projects from some of the best teams across the island. Participating games will have a clear Irish connection– developed in Ireland, Irish-led or Irish-majority teams, playable in Irish, or featuring Irish culture, stories, or locations.

We’re delighted to reveal the Irish Games art-piece we commissioned from acclaimed Irish artist and game developer Denman Rooke, showcasing some of the incredible games and characters from across Irish games, alongside touchpoints of Irish culture.

This is just a snippet of the full piece, which will live on the steam page throughout the event, and we’re absolutely thrilled with how it came together. Try and see how many characters you can recognise when the page goes live on March 13th!

Alongside discounts across participating titles, the event will include a special Showcase Broadcast highlighting featured games through trailers, gameplay, and curated clips from Irish streamers.

The Games from Ireland Steam Event is an Imirt-led initiative, developed in collaboration with Irish developers and studios worldwide. The event is designed to present Irish games on an international stage, not only to players but to studios, publishers, and the wider global games industry. St Patrick’s Day is Ireland’s most visible cultural moment worldwide. The Games from Ireland Steam Event uses that moment to showcase the creativity, diversity, and commercial success of Irish game development - at home and across the globe.
