Imirt - The Irish Game Makers Association are delighted to announce that we have teamed up with the incredible team at VOID Interactive, the team responsible for the hit first-person shooter Ready or Not, to create a scholarship to bring game developers to Gamescom 2026.
The VOID Gamescom 2026 Scholarship, an initiative designed to support Irish developers to attend Gamescom, the largest Games Industry Trade Show in the European Union. This scholarship will support three developers with contributions towards travel and accommodation expenses, alongside business tickets for access to the B2B trade area and access to MeetToMatch facilities.
Gamescom runs from August 26th - 30th 2026, and is a hub for the games industry in Europe and for international business deals. Attendees of Gamescom through the VOID Gamescom Scholarship can look forward to connecting with other industry professionals from around the globe, sharing knowledge and conducting business. The MeetToMatch service allows developers to set up direct meetings with publishers, investors and potential collaborators so they can pitch their next project or find new business opportunities.
Connecting with international audiences and investors is essential in today's global games market. We at Imirt are delighted to be teaming up with VOID Interactive to secure the kind of support that their founders wish they had as they had started out in the games business. Imirt will work to provide these developers with hands-on support to make sure that they make the best use of their experience at Gamescom, as we further work to connect Irish talent with the global market.
In order to apply for the scholarship programme, you must be an Imirt member. You can access the form for the scholarship in the members area of the Imirt Website. The application measures the need for support to attend Gamescom, focusing on company, project, and business readiness.
Applications close at 23:59pm on Thursday April 16th.
