IndieDev Prototype Fund
IndieDev 2025 is an initiative managed by Ardán and Imirt on behalf of Northern Ireland Screen and Screen Ireland – aimed at supporting indie video game developers based in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Successful teams are supported with funding of up to £15,000 / €15,000 based on programme, mentorship, and team requirements.
We’re excited to announce that eight teams have been selected for IndieDev 2025! This is the second year of the prototype fund programme, and the teams are based out of Dublin, Galway, Antrim, Armagh, Tyrone, Laois, Clare, Tipperary, Kilkenny, and Down.
A variety of game prototypes will be explored, including a hot air balloon simulator, a stealth-puzzle game, a meditative, cozy game, a roguelike strategy game, 3D action-adventure platformer, a minimalist pinball-inspired perseverance platformer, a soft post- apocalyptic romance adventure visual novel, and a first-person, stealth exploration game.
Each team will be supported with funding of £15,000/€15,000 and they will also take part in a structured 12-week programme of workshops and mentorship to help them on the road to their first prototype.
This scheme is funded by the Fís Éireann/ Screen Ireland Digital Games Portfolio and by Northern Ireland Screen. It is managed by Ardán with the support of Imirt.
